Statement of Purpose

The mission of the NCGR-Professional Astrologers' Alliance is to serve as a trade association to promote the common interests of astrologers and to improve the status of the profession of astrology primarily through the implementation of a certification program, the promotion of high ethical standards in the practice of astrology, as well as any other matters relevant to the professional astrologer. These goals will be achieved through the following:

Standards for Ethical and Professional Practice

• Requires members to adhere to a code of ethical standards for the practice of astrology
• Provides a valid and reliable certification program for astrology practitioners

Education & Training

• Provides training opportunities for practicing astrologers
• Presents astrological educational programs, including conferences and online training opportunities
• Fosters development and growth of astrological professionals committed to the preservation and enhancement of astrology

Advocacy

• Promotes public awareness and interest in astrology through public information campaigns and events such as International Astrology Day
• Monitors government legislation and conducts activities that maintain and protect the rights of astrologers

Community Networking

• Offers enlistment, organization, and support in order to achieve the purposes of the organization
• Creates avenues for astrologers to share ideas with one another, including online groups, and special interest groups
• Publishes ezines, newsletters and other periodicals that foster communication
• Fosters international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and education among astrology professionals and organizations worldwide
