The mission of the NCGR-Professional Astrologers' Alliance is to serve as a trade association to promote the common interests of astrologers and to improve the status of the profession of astrology primarily through the implementation of a certification program, the promotion of high ethical standards in the practice of astrology, as well as any other matters relevant to the professional astrologer.

Diana Brownstone is a certified professional consulting astrologer through the National Council of Geocosmic Research (NCGR) and their Professional Astrologers' Alliance. She has provided personal consultations since 1987, and has been a member of the faculty of the New York Chapter of the NCGR since 2001. When used as a tool and a guide, Diana believes astrology helps us understand the life cycles we all undergo and is particularly useful in times of accelerated or sudden change, as it gives a time frame for these.
