- As part of the "how to" of becoming a professional astrologer, we considered the advantages of mentoring and what a mentor can do to help you strengthen your consulting skills.

An Important Message About Updates to the NCGR-PAA

Dear PAA Community,
In keeping with changes enacted as of February 1, 2011, when PAA ceased to be a membership organization, we will no longer support "Member" profiles on this website (as of January 31, 2012). Modules for logging in to your profile page or "The Speakers Bureau" will be taken down. Previously, these profile pages were a benefit of the $45.00 annual membership fee, along with other membership benefits. When PAA became a non-membership organization, profiles were left up as a courtesy for those who had previously renewed their memberships or purchased a listing on our site.
Now, Test takers who pass Levels IV are eligible to be listed on our web site according to their proficiency level of accomplishment. Links to their individual professional web sites or email contact addresses are included with this listing and may be purchased for a nominal fee of $25.

An Exercise in Mundane Astrology from Our Own Backyard  Astrology organizations have transits too. And the ones that have been occurring in the natal chart of NCGR so accurately depict the recent establishment of NCGR-Professional Astrologers’ Alliance as well as the development of astrology in a larger social context. This article is presented as a short and sweet example of mundane astrology in action.
Here’s the background: The IRS audited NCGR on October 16, 2006, at which time, it was “suggested” that NCGR separate its professional promotional activities, including the Certification Program and the Professional Empowerment Program, from its other membership benefits, in order to create two distinct organizations. This would ensure the latter’s non-profit status as an astrological education and research organization, as it always had been; and the former would be an organization for the purpose of trade and promotion for professional astrologers.
