Statement of Purpose
The mission of the NCGR-Professional Astrologers' Alliance is to serve as a trade association to promote the common interests of astrologers and to improve the status of the profession of astrology primarily through the implementation of a certification program, the promotion of high ethical standards in the practice of astrology, as well as any other matters relevant to the professional astrologer.

When the student is ready, the teacher appears....  Welcome! The NCGR-PAA Mentor Program pairs the student who is new to the practice of astrology with a seasoned professional who is well-versed with the consulting use of astrology as well as the practical details of managing an astrological clientele. Mentors can be helpful with the effective delivery of difficult news, the setting of boundaries, the effect of prediction, ethics, or the myriad of other issues that astrologers encounter with each and every client. And for the practical end of the work, from setting up the first appointment to answering post-reading questions, to the on-going relationship with the client, a mentor can offer advice based on solid experience, and ultimately, guide you to develop your own personal style of practicing astrology. Fees and scheduling are set by the mentor, not by NCGR-PAA, and you can decide the best way of working together -- in person, on the phone or via Skype.
